Intellectual Property Policy

Updated over a year ago

MARTA respects the intellectual property rights of others and encourages our members to do the same. It includes copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights.

This Intellectual Property Policy outlines the roles and responsibilities in case someone's intellectual property on the MARTA platform is subject to infringement. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Responsibilities as a user

  • You are solely responsible for all content you list on MARTA, including descriptions, images, and product designs.

  • You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to sell the items you list.

  • This includes ensuring your products do not infringe on others' intellectual property rights.

MARTA's role

We are a venue that connects buyers and sellers. We do not mediate disputes between users. If you have an intellectual property dispute with another user, you may need legal counsel.

How to report infringement

If you believe a listing or other content on MARTA infringes on your intellectual property rights, you can report it to us by writing to [email protected]. We will review your report and take appropriate action, which may include removing the infringing listing.

Counter-notice

You can file a counter-notice if you receive a notice from MARTA that one of your listings or other content pieces has been reported for infringement. This allows you to dispute the claim and potentially have your listing reinstated.
